Looking for a bit of creative inspiration? Enjoy an old fashioned, handmade Christmas craft day with one of the ‘handmade Christmas’ themed events happening across England, hosted by English Heritage. With wreath making, cookery workshops, cake decorating classes, festive game pies and even traditional toy making and plenty more opportunities to get crafty, get your Christmas skates on and see what’s on offer.

There are a mixture of workshops, ranging from adult only and also family focused, with some activities to try at home, too. Oh if only I had more time….I’d book them all up. I quite fancy the regency Christmas decorations.

There are also some courses which are member exclusive so you can make the most of these if you already have an English Heritage membership and I think you can also take advantage of some discounts too…but there is a telephone number you call to book any of the courses, so they can advise you. They also have some Victorian, past times and possibly forgotten festive recipes to try out, although the pigeon pie with feet recipe is possibly best forgotten in my book! Ewww not for me, but if you are game, go for it!
